Fort Worth's sole honoree, Sun Water Systems, was founded in 1998 by its current President/CEO, local businessman Charles Strand. Sun Water manufactures and markets the popular Aquasana Home Water Filters and Shower Filters. Recent trends in the health and beauty industries towards pure water for drinking and showering have driven the growth of the company's products.

Sun Water manufactures and distributes high end home water purification products through a network of retailers. Their Aquasana, Beauty Water and Rhino brands are sold via the Internet and through health and beauty retailers such as Sephora, Victoria Secrets catalog, Bath & Body Works, QVC and over 500 health food stores.
The company has sustained a 35% to 50% annual growth rate for the last 5 years and forecasts that growth will stay strong for years to come.
