ESAB Introduces New Packaging for Filler Metal Wire and Subarc Fluxes

Towards that end, two new packaging options have been announced.
ESAB now offers its filler metal wire in 1000 lb. drum packaging for high production applications. The 1000-lb Marathon Pac uses a special coiling technique that ensures that the wire plays out straight, without cast and helix that can cause arc wander. This assures that welds are always well-positioned and perfectly straight. An automatic unwind process eliminates the need for separate de-coiling equipment. This new industrial-sized package can be easily recycled.
ESAB also now packages its OK Flux 231, OK Flux 429, OK Flux 10.71, OK Flux 10.72, and OK Flux 10.62 submerged welding fluxes in a new thermally sealed bag. The new bag uses a plastic-lined paper with a folded bottom and a top that is stitched and thermally-sealed to provide better protection from moisture and environmental contamination. OK Flux 350 continues to be packaged in a valve-type bag utilizing a similar laminated construction.
